Watts Up Electric was founded in 2017 by husband and wife team Tony & Kim Johnson.
Tony is a second generation Master Electrician with over 15 years of experience in the trade. His rapport with clients and attention to detail sets him apart from his competitors, making him a desired tradesman in the Annapolis area.
Prior to founding Watts Up Electric, Tony found himself doing 40+ hours of side work a week after clocking out of his 9 to 5, or 7 to 330 in the electrical field. Being a newlywed, you can imagine how well that went over with his new bride at home. His growing client base and work ethic eventually forced him to choose; work for someone else's company, or start his own? Thus, Watts Up Electric was born.
Kim handles all the behind the scenes work at Watts Up Electric including client management, accounting, and administration. After spending years freelancing for clients all over the world, she was at a crossroads. Either accept a new virtual project or search for a different opportunity. Timing was on their side, as it just so happened to be around the time Watts Up Electric came to life – it was a no brainer.
In the summer of 2021 Tony & Kim welcomed their first child into the Watts Up Family. The "Tiny Dictator" has changed things around here for this small, family owned business. If they're delayed in responding please give them some grace. They are not only navigating operating a business during a pandemic but also juggling their roles as new parents as well.
